The region enjoys a continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters. It is relatively sheltered from northern winds and Atlantic influences, thanks to the natural protection provided by the Serra do Marão. The soils are mainly composed of granite and schist.

Grape varieties: 30% Touriga Franca, 30% Tinta Roriz, 40% Touriga Nacional.

The grapes undergo complete destemming, followed by a prolonged and gentle maceration on the skins. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in modern, robot-controlled stainless-steel “lagares”, at a controlled temperature of around 26°C.

Aged for 9 months in new French oak barrels.

With an intense garnet-red colour and violet hues, this wine reveals a complex nose, offering distinctive notes of macerated wild berries, subtle red-fruit jam, together with delicate roasted notes, chocolate and dark floral petals. On the palate, it is ripe and fruit-forward, with luscious jammy fruit balanced by a harmonious mouthfeel and elegant structure.

Delicious with oven-baked fish, grilled or marinated meats, and full-flavoured, well-structured cheeses.
